John Hartman is one of PUNCH Films’ talented Cinematographers and Editors.
John was bitten by the video bug in the 1980s after attending a locally produced TV show, “Happy’s Place”, starring Happy the Hobo. He carried a video camera everywhere he went in his teenage years. John focused on philosophy studies at IPFW, then he went on to Maine Media Workshops & College to further his video education. After graduation, John worked as a Video Journalist for Indiana’s NewsCenter. Eventually, he and PUNCH Films found each other, and the rest is history.
John’s short films, music videos and video installations have been screened in New York, projected for bands, and acquired by art museums for their private collections. In his free time, John likes finding new records to add to his vinyl collection, buying band t-shirts, eating pizza, and, most importantly, reading to his son.
