Derek Devine is an Emmy award-winning Producer and CEO of PUNCH Films.
Derek received his Bachelor’s of Music from the Eastman School of Music and continued on to receive a Master’s of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music in oboe performance. After 15 years as a professional musician, Derek changed course to reinvent himself as a filmmaker.
Derek got his start as a Broadcast Promotions Manager at a PBS affiliate and later managed the video department of a live events company. PUNCH Films, now in its 14th year has grown from a home studio to a 40,000 square foot warehouse studio. In addition to being the company president, Derek is a Director of Photography, Editor, Animator, and Compositor. Derek also oversees the creative, technical, and strategic direction of the company.
Derek currently serves as Board President for the Fort Wayne Cinema Center, a local art-house film not for profit.
Derek is a huge fan of Terry Gilliam, Volkswagens, Oban 14 year-old malt, Elgar, and accomplished people who manage to stay nice.
